Terms of Service

The terms under which Trinity Domestics provides appliance repair, installation and warranty work in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Last updated: 28 July 2026

1. Who we are

Trinity Domestics is a family-run appliance-repair business based at Unit 15 & 16, 30 Cultins Road, Edinburgh EH11 4DG. Registered in Scotland — SC231936. VAT 717 2208 55. Gas Safe registration 218503.

2. Bookings

A booking is confirmed once we've given you a date and time window. We'll always tell you the diagnostic call-out fee before we attend so there are no surprises.

3. Diagnostic call-out fee

Our engineer attends, inspects the appliance and quotes for the repair. If you choose to go ahead there and then, the diagnostic fee is included in the total repair cost. If parts need to be ordered, the diagnostic fee is chargeable at that visit and the repair total is confirmed before we return.

4. Warranty repairs

Where the manufacturer (e.g. Beko) has authorised us as their agent, warranty-covered work is carried out under their terms and paid for by them. Non-covered work (accidental damage, out-of-warranty parts, unrelated faults) is chargeable to you and quoted in advance.

5. Guarantee

Paid repairs are guaranteed for 90 days on the parts we've fitted and the labour associated with them. The guarantee does not cover misuse, accidental damage or a different fault occurring on the same appliance.

6. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the repair, unless you have an account with us (letting agents, housing associations). We accept card, bank transfer and — where arranged in advance — invoiced payment terms.

7. Cancellations & missed appointments

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange. If our engineer attends and is unable to gain access, a missed-appointment fee equal to the diagnostic call-out may apply.

8. Access, safety & the property

You agree to provide safe access to the appliance. We reserve the right to stop work if we believe the appliance or installation is unsafe (for example, non-compliant gas or electrical work). Any Gas Safe work we complete is notified and certificated as required.

9. Liability

We carry public liability insurance for our engineers' work. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and any disputes will be dealt with by the Scottish courts.

11. Contact
